Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC)
India is the world's leading exporter of carpets,
sending between 85-90% of its production overseas. Approximately 40% of all
handmade carpets exported globally originate from India. The country's carpet
exports predominantly include handmade varieties such as woollen rugs,
druggets, durries, and cotton carpets. In the fiscal year 2020-21, India's
export of hand-knotted carpets alone reached US$ 1.51 billion, underscoring the
vast opportunities within the Carpet Export Industry for Indian entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and merchant exporters can leverage these
opportunities by registering online with the Carpet Export Promotion Council
